Houses For Healing is a ministry which provides free housing for those living outside of our community that are receiving long term medical care in Abilene. We have one house that serves the people of Brown County and a second house that serves the people of Knox County. Here are ways in which you can be involved.....

Cleaning
---Occasional cleaning on weekends and between changes in House Guests
Meals--Providing cooked meals or purchasing prepared meals once or twice per month
Transportation--Transporting guests to and from treatments (only occurs once a year or so, but could be a daily need for 4 to 6 weeks during those times)

If God is stirring your heart to serve families who are struggling with health issues, please choose the "Sign Up To Serve" button below.

Meet Joe Perez from Santa Anna. He was involved in a one-vehicle accident near his home one evening and has had hip surgery to place a rod in his femur. He is with us for two months or so while attending rehab and will be out of work during that time. His needs will be food and transportation and lots of prayer!

Our new guests are Evelyn King and Dalton Whaley. Evelyn had twin girls in July 1. The girls are Odette who weighed 1.14 and Genevieve who weighed 2.1. Mom is so sweet and thanked us several times. She also asked for prayers, and we told her thatโ€™s part of this, so please pass the word and include them all in your prayers. Oh, the babies were due Oct. 9, so they are very early.

Celebrating God's Goodness!

Molly Guffee was one of our Knox County House guest and surrendered her life to Christ after many acts of love were displayed to her through our Ministry Teams. A video of her baptism is below. She was baptized on the premises of Houses for Healing.
